AH! More!

Hello, hello! It's been entirely too long since I've posted. It's been a hectic past month, but I think I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things. From leaving NYC to driving cross-country to finding myself back in my hometown of Kalispell, MT--I feel the creative juices oozing and flowing.
I'm 110% dedicated to sketching daily, with hopes that next week I'll be able to sit down and spend my 3-day weekend P-A-I-N-T-I-N-G. AHHHHH! It seems toooo wonderful! STay tuned, folks!

-Here is a sketch of my bike before I had to abandon it in Brooklyn. :( I think my crazy landlord abused it to the point that it was un-rideable. Of course, I didn't realize this until I was down to the WIRE leaving for Montana THAT day. Sigh. Somewhere I hope that somewhere, someone is appreciating this bike and giving it the TLC that it truly deserves.

-This is from a little break I took in Wisconsin during my cross-country drive. A PRECIOUS town called Stoughton. I'm trying to get the gesture of trees down...Watercolor in sketchbook.

-Taking a bit of inspiration from working with my friend, Lauren Whitney. We are both interested in collage, ink, watercolor, and transparent/translucent materials. This is acetate with a sharpie drawing over a few watercolor sketches in sketchbook.

-This is a slice of Main Street in Kalispell, MT. I sat in the sun sketching this for a bit on my first or second day home. I am planning on doing LOTS of painting/sketching of my hometown and surrounding areas during the next few months. Watercolor in sketchbook.

-This is a quick sketch of my friend, Nat, while he watched some NBA game (Celtics vs...?). The sketchbook that I work on isn't REALLY made for watercolor and after a little bit of wet-on-wet, things get a little gritty and the paper starts to pill. Damn. I did my best to disguise this muddy problem, but alas, I was a tad too late. Watercoclor and ballpoint pen on sketchbook paper.
